Movement of Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence (AI) is something that is becoming

very significant as time goes on. Companies are always looking for ways to make their businesses more efficient from a working stand point and a customer stand point. Like everything, artificial intelligence has its pros and cons, but which outweighs the other?

CRM (customer relationship management) is a prime example of how AI can help businesses be more productive and run smoother. Technology such as CRM will eliminate a lot of the tedious tasks that employees have to do so they can focus on more important tasks in their field. This will cause a large increase in work efficiency which also contributes to a higher rate of customer satisfaction. Things run smoother because computers can take 15 minutes of work that would be done by a human and deduct that to 45 seconds. Salesforce, an American cloud-based software company, specializes in CRM and making fields like Human Resources run more efficiently. Statistics show that Salesforce brings a 44% increase in leads, 37% increase in sales revenue, 45% increase in customer retention, and 52% faster integration of business apps. With such credentials, there would also be an increase in revenue for the company and they would cut down on costs while the monotonous work would be done by the computers instead of people. Because humans get bored and computers don’t, as long as the proper software and programming is installed in the computer, there are rarely ever any mistakes that are made.

The elimination of jobs is a major threat that could come with artificial intelligence. People who aren’t as skilled could be out of a job. Developers say that employees shouldn’t worry because these machines are there to help them get their jobs done faster and get more work done as well. That isn’t entirely true. Employees who have more significant jobs in the company would benefit from this, those who don’t, are at risk.

Artificial intelligence is gradually growing as time goes on. As you can see, the pros are more than the cons. It’s just a matter of how much businesses feel that they could benefit from AI.
