Technology is one of the fastest growing projects of our time.
It seems like when it comes to innovation, there’s always ways to refine and modify what we currently have. We are at a point where technology is so intuitive, that it’s just as smart as humans. But, how could this effect businesses and departments like human resources?
There is a very high significance regarding human resources.
Many believe that life could be easier if intelligence automation (IA) were to play a part in HR. Using IA in HR can bring upon a strong capability of increase in productivity and efficiency in the company. IA can focus on all the tedious work like paperwork that can be very repetitive, while employees seek a more involving role and concentrate on more important tasks in their field. According to Sushman Biswas, associate editor and HR technologist, “IA enables machines to reproduce not only manual activity but also make intelligent decisions as a human would. IA can understand processes and their variations.” Although businesses would benefit greatly from this implementation from a cost-cutting stand point, what about its employees?
A KPMG survey was taken on the deployment of IA technology.
Despite many business leaders being aware of the positive impacts that IA could bring to their companies, they are still unsure about the deployment because of the impact it could bring their employees. There is a possibility that employees could be replaced by technology which is something that some business owners don’t know if they want to risk.
At this current time, technology hasn’t taken the place of humans, but people shouldn’t only focus on if they’re being traded for a machine but focusing on how they can benefit from them as well. IA is definitely something that is up and coming and will be implemented in our day to day life in years to come. So, employees and business owners are strongly advised to pay close attention.
