MNsure is Minnesota’s health insurance marketplace where individuals, families and small businesses in Minnesota can shop, compare and choose health insurance coverage that meets their needs.
Challenges
This was a state project with the Minnesota government, where they needed MNsure to become compliant with the new federal rules and regulations through the Affordable Health Care Act and Obamacare. MNsure was using legacy systems that were completed out dated. They had a team in house that was struggling to upgrade to a new application on their own that would be compliant with these new regulations.
The Solution
Akvarr brought in a world class Java development team to go through MNsure’s legacy systems, learn all the old coding, and then integrate that data into the brand new application that was being developed.
Result
Akvarr enabled MNsure to reach its compliancy with government regulations in the new ACA and Obamacare, and made it easier for Minnesotans to go on their new website to sign up for insurance.
